Welcome to the grounds of Wild Poplars
a place to listen and explore intimacy with life…
Hidden behind those tall poplars (aspens) lies an unusual landscape. For decades, the poetry it’s prompted has been gathering itself into different rooms or spaces.
To-date you’ve only had access to poems on safe subjects, like tea. Now I can no longer ignore the possibility that the larger body of unruly, wild and provocative poems want your company.
How do you gain entry?
Via The Grounds (you’re here already!) and using the links to The Outbuildings, The House and Secret Spaces - just click on the images.
Travel slow, one place at a time. Consider going to places which appeal LEAST - they will probably reward most… Your reclusive permanent tenant will be thrilled if you like or comment any spaces which particularly appeal!
Want to support this creative project which will slowly publish all my poems and rhymes in audio form? Consider being a ‘Lodger’ - read more here or being a Contributing Subscriber, details to follow…
Within The Grounds
Here, as they open, you’ll meet the largely non-human inhabitants of The Fields, Watering Hole and Wilderness and all the other places in ‘The Grounds’.
In a rambling mix of purpose-built outbuildings, The Architect’s Shed, the Biodanza Barn and Art Studio poetic inhabitants prompt creativity.
Rising from its Foundations, rooms will appear in which to feed, make love, rest or discover riches!
Secret spaces in which to discover imaginary poetic friends and invisible guides.
